New to the forum. I spent hours of my life that I will never get back looking at surveillance camera packages for sale, and luckily wound up here before purchasing anything. I plan on reading what I can and using search before I begin asking any stupid questions. We'll see how long that lasts...

Sound advice. I appreciate that. And thank you for directing me to the blue bar. I had not (duh) realized that is where the beginners stuff was.
I was already looking at the sticky entitled "Resource Guide for IP Technology for All Noobs" and found that it had some great fundamentals, but not the info that wiki has to actually set up and implement a system.
