Let me ask this first, what would be the best app to use on my android phone considering I have a LTS NVR and cameras? Right now I have MVNS7000 but I have yet been able to get it to work over a external network. As long as I am at the house I can see the cameras using my internal network on WIFI. I cut WIFI off and try using external and no luck. I am using dvrlists from LTS for my ddns. I've got a program that opens the ports n my router.. Not really sure on what to check to make this work, have never learned that much about networking, any help would be greatly appreciated.

you want to make sure the subnet and gateway ip is correctly configured on the NVR. You need to make sure the ports are opened correctly by using a port forwarding tool such as canyouseeme.org. Make sure all 3 ports (HTTP, Server, RTSP) are all forwarded. By default these are 80, 8000, and 8554.
