On some forums (cars, computers, etc) I see that they have "stickies", general info permanent posts of basic info. Couldn't find any here. Are there some general tips on Dahua NVRs and possibly cameras that new people should know? I finding from posts that 1. Best to use Dahua cams with Dahua NVRs, 2. Don't use flat ethernet cable for POE cams. 3. Don't use dome cameras outside. 4. NTSC and PAL doesn't matter. 5. Don't update camera firmware if it already works. etc Just got my 5216 16 POE NVR and wondering if there are basic tips on set up, and what NOT to do to brick it.
