Been lurking here for a couple of weeks.
I'm in the planning /design stage for a new video surveillance system. Newbie to this IP video technology but I have 30+ years of IT network experience that's transferring splendidly. Loving the learning curve.
Been playing with Blue Iris with a Hikvision 2142. Currently just reading everyone's posting and the Blue Iris help file - from start to finish - but sure I'll need a little spoon feeding on many knowledge gaps. The postings on FOV, ppf, and proper lens selection save me from wasting some cash !
