Does anyone else have old tools you need to get rid of? I have old cheap, cheap sockets and wrenches, rusty screwdrivers, pliers, etc. These are loose and laying in drawers. My good tools like Craftsman I have organized in toolchests. I'm too lazy to have a garage sale and am considering recycling them. Anybody have suggestions or have you been through this?

My bigger problem is not being willing to get rid of them. I'll probably never use the old brace and bits again, but shudder at the thought of parting with them. For cheap junk tools that break, trash or metal recycling is just fine with me.

Some young folks could use tools

Especially those attempting to get into Handiman work, or young couples starting starting families in new homes ..

Perhaps a local vocational school has students who are looking for tools ??

Maybe go boating with @Ssayer ? He lost his firearms in a "boating accident" I hear.....:wtf:

EDIT: I believe @bigredfish can offer some insight on this if @Ssayer is not available....

If in the city, place them in a box on your corner and label free. Someone will pick them up.

The other option is to place in a bag and go to a garage sale. Place them on a table and leave.

Craig's list under free.

Or place them in a cart at Home Depot, etc.......
