Hello there. I've been able to get POE IP Cameras to connect and write to NAS Server, but not NVR. I have 2 different POE NVRs DS-7604NI-E1, DS-7608-NI-E2, DS-7608NI-I2.

The NVR simply does not recognize the Nas. I've tried with Freenas, nas4free, cib/nfs,iscsi - none works.
I think its firmware issue. Tried from iVMS and from Browser.

Firmware version: V3.4.62 build 160503 and V3.4.92 build 170228. With older ones doesnt work too.

Anybody got this working?

Thank you in advance.

It's not a firmware issue.
You'll need to use NFS.
You need to use the NetHDD Search button to find the share(s) offered against the IP address of the NAS and select from the list.
What settings are you using on the NAS for the NFS shares?

Using NFS - ip camera is finding shares but not NVR. Search button is NOT finding anything on the NVR and fiding all on IP Camera.
attached NFS settings and NFS Share settings.

It's odd that the NFS shares show on the camera but not on the NVR.
Does the 'Authorised IP addresses' NFS configuration being blank allow access from all?
If you explicitly add the NVR IP address does it change anything?
Assuming the NAS and NVR etc are all on the same IP segment.

I've used NFS on many versions of NVR firmware, up to 3.4.91 and haven't seen any problems with it. But if the Search button doesn't work - there isn't much else on the NVR you can do.

Yes same network segment - doesnt change if added to the auth ip addr. Maybe u can try with one of your nvr's and Virtualbox of freenas installation to see if ur will see the nfs shares? What exactly firmware is working with ur nfs setup?

noone ever used nfs with nvr?????
The facility does work - but it may depend on the NFS source configuration and version.
I was tempted to install FreeNAS to test it - but couldn't decide which of the many variants would match your setup.
This is how a 7816 NVR with the 3.4.91 (and many earlier versions) firmware sees the NFS V2/V3 shares on a QNAP NAS

Thank you - any variant that work will be used. If u want i can send you virtualbox config + vdi to launch in bridge mode to see if your nvr finds it?

For the benefit of anyone else puzzling over this or a similar problem - where the Hikvision cameras can see and connect to NFS shares, but the Hikvision NVRs do not -
The fix for the NVRs see and connect to FreeNAS NFS shares at least was to configure FreeNAS to offer NFS shares over UDP as well as the default TCP.

mines working fine with NFS Synology NAS
my NVR DS-7608NI-E2 / 8P running V3.4.92 build 170228

i'm about to go crazy with my system want to added 16tb via Net HDD
