Replacing an old NVR & cam system in one. Going to try and build my own...
Going to have up to 4 cams on a PoE switch to a SBC running W10 and BI and a purple HDD.

Promise I'll search through the forums before posting questions that have already been answered. Can't promise I won't still ask a silly question though.

Using an Windows 10 SBC with Blue Iris may work. Remember that the computer and disk drive will be running 24/7 so cooling is critical. It is recommended to use an SSD for windows and BI, and the purple for the video.

Do not know about Australia, but look at used business computer like HP Elitedesk on ebay.

Read study, plan before spending money. This forum has a massive amount of good information.
