It's my understanding that shortly after "discovering" the balloon over Alaska, a great debate took place
at the Pentagon. For over a week the U.S. Space force and the U.S. Air force debated heatedly, not over the balloon
but the altitude of where "space" begins and who's responsibility it would be to watch the balloon as it flew over the
continental US.
Unfortunately, some Clyde with a camera in Billings Montana interrupted General Milly's version of "evening the score".
All the while they told us how impossible it was to shoot down a stupid balloon.
At least we all now know where space begins, between their ears!
