Funny / Satire

I had a couple of possible disasters with my compact tractor that fortunately were averted in time.

1. When I was a newbie, I tried to lift a very heavy rock with the bucket. As I kept trying to raise the bucket the rock never moved, and I finally discovered that the rear wheels were off the ground, going higher and higher. That was a change the undies moment.

2. After I should have known better I was going down a somewhat steep driveway with a very heavy bucket load. When I got to the steep part, the tractor CG shifted forward and the tractor tipped forward until the bucket hit the ground. Brakes didn't work because the rear wheels were off the ground. Engine braking didn't work because I was in 2WD. I finally figured out to lower the bucket while sliding slowly down the driveway, before going off the edge that surely would have rolled it. Learned a few things from that one, like adding weight to the back and going downhill in reverse with a heavy bucket load.

And somewhere along the line I realized that if one raises the tilted and loaded bucket high enough, you can dump the whole load on yourself.

I always keep the ROPS up, and one time when my head cleanly cleared a low tree limb, the ROPS caught it, broke it off, and dumped it on my head. This was followed by a tree pruning session. I think there would have been a few good videos had somebody been recording.

I have near zero experience on a tractor. Drove one when I was a kid, no bucket hauling...then a few times later. I am sure there are videos out there about what you are describing. I just hope I am never in one ;)

When we moved here, now 3 years ago, wow time flys, I was quiet the novice on the Zero-Turn, sure enough caught/broke a front deck wheel on a T-Post. My first repair :) The Zero-Turn is a fun ride, I now like mowing again, haha, well I have always liked mowing, the noise drowns out the world, I day dream and pray often when Mowing...

My son was all smiles his first time on it.

I'm jealous. I'd like to have a ZTR mower but with the lawn tractor still going strong it's too hard to part with the $. A good ZTR costs at least 20 541Rs, about 30 for the one I'd want. All the pros use them, without exception as far as I can see.

The house my Ex and I bought was like this. We had the house put in my Father's name since he had more credit so the loan was approved quickly. A year later we were filing for divorce. We were married 8 years. Anyway, she knew she did not have a claim to the house so did not pursue it. After the divorce a few years later we had the house put in my name since I paid for it. She did though, clean me out while I was at work, took all the furniture and things. All I had in the kitchen left was an old frying pan and plastic drinking cups. Our son was a year old.

Found out later she put all our stuff in storage and did not pay the bill so lost it all.

When it all happened I was enraged, a neighbor called me at work saying there was a big U-Haul parked in our driveway but said he saw my Ex and another woman there so I did not call the cops. When I got home it was echo in all the rooms, she even took the bed my parents bought us for our marriage. I had to sleep on the floor for a bit.

Years later I found it was a good thing she took everything, many in my situation dealt with memories looking at the furniture and things they bought together. All our memories were taken from me, even all the pictures, everything. Almost like a fire would of done.

Get this, we just got back from our vacation to Germany, which I worked 3 jobs to save for that trip. We had our issues/fights but it was a total surprise what she did. My theory is she had all single divorced friends who I am guessing talked her into it. I heard them all say they don't have to pay for anything, even get free drinks at bars/clubs, free food on dates, etc. Never did like her friends.

Live and learn, had this not happen I would not be with my present wife of 30 years. Now I thank her for what she did...even though we are still not on any speaking terms...which I thank her for that too...haha

A repost of mine below from Nov. '22:

FWIW, I unplugged 2 Echo Dots in 2020 when, after neither myself or my wife had done any searches online of a specific and unusual topic and that we had discussed that topic verbally only between ourselves......shortly after (like by the next day) when I opened amazon to browse my account / order status page, I received popup suggestions that clearly suggested items that my wife and I discussed privately!
I wonder what else had been heard? My political views?
Just got this email...
