With all the activity you get there it's amazing no one came around that corner during that first, 27 minute "flop" period, drove up behind him and sat on the horn ! 
I am suprised they held the brake pedal while sleeping.
Me too. The car was still moving when her head went down and I didn't see any movements to suggest that she turned off the car or put it in park. The same goes for when she woke up. I didn't see her start the car or do anything other than just start driving. It's pretty amazing that she could have slept that long while holding the brake.
