seen some less expensive NVR/s get firmware updates NVR8CH-8P-2AI / NVR5208-8P-EI and so on... but not the higher end XI series, was wondering if anyone has information if there will be a new update soon and if there will be improvements ?

Thanks for that, a little concerned do to the fact it's Bata .. but sounds like it's worth the update.

I would really like to see a feature that allows us to search for triggers and be able to skip to the next trigger.
The Synology surveillance station has this future that I enjoy

Can you explain?
Yes, I can.. to make it easier for me to show you I took pictures, pay attention to my pointer, when I hover over the next or previous event button..

My system records 24/7 and in the time bar you can see the yellow lines representing a single event, I simply please my pointer on any part of the timeline and use the skip event buttons to go through the events quickly

Man, no one is using this old timeline system with events for basic motion detection...

there is IVS - much more advanced intrusion detection by human/vehicles...
IVS events have attributes and snapshots.. you can search them by attributes..

you have full search function with many results & thumbnails on one screen... you can easy browse between events...

everything is in AI menu.. AI Search / Ai parameters -> IVS..

Here You have tutorial for 5xxx-EI.. worth watching/learning/testing..
at 29 minutes starts tutorial about AI functions (very basic one)...
