Firmware orders question

So does Hikvision firmware go in sequential order?
So on my NVR it says it is up to date with latest firmware version of V4.61.067 build 220928 but on hikvision us website it says latest firmware for my NVR is V4.71.106 build 220630

so which version is the latest? I would assume V4.71.106, right?

I do not know about what version to use. BUT !!

An NVR is not a PC, it does not need to be upgraded unless it is fixing a known problem that is affecting your personal systems operations. You are more likely to turn the NVR into a brick than add a new feature. It is also possible that you can loose features that you are currently using.

IF IT IS NOT BROKEN DO NOT FIX IT !!

There is a thread just today that someone was updating just for the sake of updating and bricked his unit. It worked fine before and did everything he needed.

Lol yes I expected this answer but still was curious. Build is the date of the firm ware, correct?
Not sure if the higher firmware version number or the build is the determining factor on which version is newer.
