Eyesurv remote?

I picked up a used ESDV-NVRX-8 on fleabay.

It didn't come with a remote.

I plan on just hooking it up to an extra monitor in my office.

Am I really missing anything (like functionality) by not having a remote?

I picked up wireless mouse for my NVR, never used the remote once.

I find the remotes never really work that good on DVRs/NVRs. Wireless mouse is the way to go.
