I see many posts from people saying they do not expose BI to the Internet. Does that mean they are unable to view videos remotely, or is there some other way to access videos from the Internet? Integration with Home Assistant maybe? Some other way?

Install 2 NIC's in the BI server: one NIC with its own subnet for the cameras that isolates them from the Internet, the other NIC with a different subnet for BI to give it Internet access and remote viewing of those cameras, as below:
Yes, I have seen that before, and it isolates the cameras from the Internet. But some people say they also isolate BI from the Internet. If that is done, is there a way to view videos remotely? And if so, is that any safer than just isolating the cameras and exposing BI (as shown in the image)?
IOW, is it considered safe to expose BI? If you're going to allow remote viewing, something needs to be exposed. What's the safest way to do that?
