Essential 2017 R1 and Dahua Substream 2

I want to record Dahua cams substream 2 @ 720p onto server full time but Essential only shows me substream 1. Is substream 2 possible with Essential 2017 R1?
 
I'm not certain but you might want to upgrade to Essential+ 2017 R2 which came out a couple weeks ago. Also the latest IP camera pack came out last week or so as well. Some of the things the packs can add are additional streams for cameras depending on which camera drivers get upgraded.

I initially installed Essential+ 2017 R2. It appeared more ambitious than Esssential 2017 R1 in features but less operational (bugs) so I rolled back. I'll give the new device pack a try. Thanks.

What kind of bugs did you see? I'm attempting the install myself from Essential to Essential + but it's not going great for me so far either.
 
The show stopper for me was when one of my working camera video feeds quit working within E+. It worked and then it didn't work. Browser & VLC interface showed functioning cam. Another pain is glacial performance which I could live with but is no joy. Running on a Win 2012 Server with 4 core / 8 thread haswell xeon which is not the fastest setup but still no slouch. Overall Essential+ R2 appears beta phase at best to me. After 3 days of trying to wrestle E+ into submission, I threw in the towel.
