Hi
I just received my new PTZ camera DS-2DC4220IW-D from China. SADP shows firmware as 5.3.10, but the brown box had a 5.3.12 label. The fw is multilanguage, so the seller obviously has flashed with a modified firmware.
When I first opened the web gui I'm supposed to see an activation screen where a new admin password is set. There was no such screen, and none of the old default passwords work (12345, 123456789abc, 123456789ABC, hik12345).
Any ideas how to tackle this one. I've recovered bricked cameras before, but this is the first time I can't log in to a brand new camera...
