DS-2CD6412FWD without davinci file?

Hi,

I just wanted to upgrade my brand new Chinese DS-2CD6412FWD-30 (FW 5.1.0) to 5.1.6, when I noticed that there/s no davinci file present.
Or is this file only present in the 5.1.6 update? I just want to make sure everything works beforehand, before I create a Chinese brick after the upgrading.

Also, running the ftpput/get gives me the message 'applet not found'. Using an FTP program to log in to the camera does work (but there's no davinci file to replace).

TFTP doesn't work either. I tried with POE as well as separate 12V, cable direct to pc, cable via switch, but TFTP server doesn't give any messages after rebooting camera. SADP sees the camera perfectly during this process, so it's connected and running. Windows Firewall is off.

Anyone have a clue how to proceed?

All the same, can't be updated. TFTP to no avail. Davinci file no.
Tell me, what did you find out? Updated?

Edited the US version of 5.1.6 FW with the language tool to Chinese and TFTP'ed that. Worked, but now everything is in Chinese... Need to do more MTD hacking I guess... Already decided I'm not going to upgrade to anything newer than 5.1.6 anyway (upgrades only add more anti-hacking measures and have even less features).

The davinc file becomes DAV directory on the camera you will find IEfile in there.

The Chinese certainly are great. On the device on the sticker firmware version 5.2.6. But in reality, inside 5.1.0. With the latest version of the SDK does not perform half teams. I want to upgrade the firmware to EN 5.3.0.

I'm ready to try to upgrade via RS-232, somehow through the U-boot, but do not know how.

Did anyone ever acomplish anything with a 2CD6412? I would like to get this unit working with EZVIZ, but I am unable to do so.

I have a unit with 5.1.0 firmware. I can install 5.2.0 using HIKTOOLS, everything is in chinese, but even with 5.2.0 I do not see EZVIZ option. If I try to update with 5.3.0 I get the "language missmatch" issue

Well, it seems there is no EZVIZ support at all for this model.

I did get to update to the latest firmware, which is 5.3.4, but the "platform access" tab and EZVIZ support is nowhere to be seen... Oh well
