DS-2CD3145F-1 Chinese Menus only

I recently purchased DS-2CD3145F-I with firmware V5.3.8build 160108. How difficult is to upgrade the firmware, so that I can add English menus?

Not sure about what to do with firmware on this particular model, but just for the record, that "1" at the end of the model number is actually the letter "I" (stands for Infrared, meaning it has a night-vision infrared light)...May be helpful to know if you're trying to do any searching on the web for help with this particular model.

yuou can not choose annything else?

login from the browser and check what serial number it got before you attempt any upgrade

it´s possible it is a chinese camera then you should not try any update whatsoever with that firmware version.

if the letters "CH" are in the serial do not do anything . do not even breath. just leave it =D

3xx5 cameras will definitely be Chinese. Someone did fix this by getting firmware from Aliexpress seller, but they didn't post the firmware. Great hey!

Have the same issue with my box cam DS-2CD2820F, i use the network SDK tool to make changes.

It looks like all my cameras have CH in the serial number. All in English except for DS-2CD3T45-I8. Can I upgrade any of these:

no. any normal upgrade will most likely fail. also I don´t think there is any higher firmware available for those cameras atm ?

( I guess, but not sure, that you can upgrade with chinese firmware, I wouldn+´t try it . but it seems like the chinese firmware is always older than the english firmware for some reason. if they work good just leave them I would say)
