DS-2CD2387G2-LU Without backbox

Hi,

I’ve always installed my hikvision turrets on the outside wall without any backbox by coiling the cables up in the space behind.

Is this possible on the new ones? Such as the DS-2CD2387G2-LU?

Back of the camera is different from old piggy layout, so no, unless you can make some hole in the wall (just to fit some cable and rj45 glands).
 
Thanks @sensey3 good news I managed to hide the cables behind the unit due to the stonework not been flat. Looks neater than with a backbox
 
Should last 12 months or so before you start getting connection problems if you don't protect the delicate Lan pigtail with a proper cable gland and backbox. They don't make these boxes for fun :)

Thanks for the recommendation.
My other turrets have been in severe weather (we live very high up) and when moving house they were in great condition but one of the screws was stuck so I’ll try that cheers
