I have 8 of these cams usa version factory installed with 5.3.0. And on one of the cams when the exir bulb turns on the data link js lost and does not reconnect to the nvr.

Has anyone ever had this issue before?

Welcome to the forum...sounds like a power issue...how are you powering the camera.

I have it connected straight to hik e2 poe nvr, tried different ports and cables and still same result of losing data link.

Try powering it via a 12v power source to rule out Poe issues.

Is this camera cable run any longer than the others?

Same length, but i also tried 1 foot, and 3 foot cable directly attached to nvr. I will try a 12v adapter to see.

Yes that will help determine if it's a power issue or not.

I've had 1 camera that was very fussy about the Poe for whatever reason. It would only work propeky with 1 particular cat5e cable and not the others.

I generally now prefer to hardwire all power regardless

I have a similar question. First off, I'm new to this. I bought a new HIKVision DS-7608NI-E2/8P NVR and installed a 3TB HDD. I loaded the latest firmware from the manufacturer's website. I have a HIKVision 2CD2142FWD-IS camera I'm connecting it to. I'm using a high grade CAT6 shielded cable and obviously crimping my own connectors. When I bench tested these two products together, they synced easily. I ran approximately 90 feet of cable, added connectors to each end, and the two devices won't connect. The NVR port I'm plugged into occasionally blinks/flashes (whereas before it was lit solid). The camera is receiving some power, but doesn't seem to boot up the same as the bench test when I plug it in. The internal green light blinks occasionally (whereas before it blinked non-stop). I thought maybe the connectors weren't good, so I carefully remade each end, ensuring they're solid. Didn't solve my problem. I even brought the camera back to bench test, and using the same type of cable (but shorter - 2'), the camera connected to the NVR just fine.

At this point I'm wondering what's going on. Is my cable run too long? Do the NVR or camera need to be reset somehow? Have I done something to the NVR to cause the ports to lose power? The other ports behave the same way. (The only thing that comes to mind is I may have had the cable plugged in to the NVR when I was making the other connector end, clipping and crimping.) Any suggestions would be super helpful as I'm quite frustrated at this point.

so even with external power through 12v adapter after less than 30 seconds once the IR lamp turns on, the camera freezes.

I tried resetting it twice and still has the issue.

no, i finally gave up, and shipped it back to the distributer for a refund.

The USA retail 2cd2332-i are getting hard to come by now, does anyone have a good distributor?
