Since DS-2CD2132F-IS is becoming harder to purchase, I was wondering if the DS-2CD2135F-IS V5.3.3 is compatible with my North America NVR DS-7608NI-E2/A V3.3.4 .

If it has hacked multi-language firmware, yes, but camera will not be firmware upgradable. Also, it might prevent you from upgrading your NVR firmware in the future if rumors are true about future firmware doing region checks. In my opinion it's no longer worth buying Chinese as Hikvision is really cracking down on gray market cams.
