Just got one of these (chinese) from auction site. Seems ok wont connect to ezviz though. Anyway, firstly should I upgrade the fw and to what version? Can someone link me to a correct thread for this?
 
There are a ton of threads on here about people who bricked their Chinese cams or turned them into Chinese only when they update the firmware. Do not update your firmware unless you are prepared for a lot of learning and work.
 
OK, I'm happy to leave it alone. However, my first cam runs version 5.3.0 and I can connect to it using ezviz from my phone, this second chinese one on 5.1.0 I cant access it on ezviz, so is there a better android app to use?
