DS-1005 Controller

Hi, am about to do a new installation and i got a ptz controller (hikvision ds-1005) and it uses usb. Am wondering if i can use a usb extension cable about 40meters away from the nvr. Would it work? Has anyone tried this before..

Would like to know what the comment are...?
