Driveway camera coverage and lighting (pics)

I do not have any lighting right now over the driveway right now, but plan to add a light on the side of the house to provide both security lighting and lighting for me when I am working on projects in the driveway.

Question 1.
Light mounted against the house, aiming down-and-out, I am wondering which style I am better off with? I would think I would prefer more lumens. Don't want to throw half the light against the house and waste it though like option 2 might do. Also open to other ideas. I am thinking the best place to mount it would be above the 2nd floor windows in the center. Again open to ideas.

Question 2.
Kind of struggling playing with coverage, I might need to get an account to IPVM just so I can add multiple cameras. I am prepared to pay the price for the appropriate camera. Driveway coverage for this part (have othe plans for the street for LPR). With adequate lighting, I don't know if the 2Mpx Starlights are the answer, would kind of like to play with the 4K/8Mpx stuff? But I don't know if that's appropriate either.

Type 1, because of the higher lumens. It still may not actually be bright enough to work under.
If you have close by neighbors, take note of the light pollution it may create.

That is definitely something that I thought about. I do have a neighbor on the other side and would like to have a light with a flat cut off if at all possible. I'll have to go over there and see how things would look from his point of view.

He actually offered to pay for an extra camera to cover his side of the house when I put my system up.

Below using 4K cameras
1/2.8"
Blue = 4mm
Red = 4mm
Green = 9.5mm

I would still use 4-12mm so that I would have the ability to play a bit as this isn't going to be 100% exact. This is a mock-up of the IPVM layout I have.

My line of thought is that with the lighting I'll have available, I wouldn't need a 2MP Starlight, and I can get better resolution from the 4K for day/night.

Focusing on the driveway here, don't mind the others.

If you are going for overview why not consider one of the Dahua 180 3 or 4 Lans panoramic cameras instead of multiple cameras?

That's a lot of money and a lot of eggs in one basket, and it wouldn't really offer the coverage I am looking for. Neat camera though!

I'm glad you mentioned that, that was actually part of the plan. I'm going to have a plate of bacon in front of each camera to hopefully get some great shots!
