Hi

I've upgraded my NVR to firware version V4.002.0000000.5.R.220729 and found that I no longer am able to get tripwire alerts on my phone. I had previously upgraded to V4.002.0000000.3.R and had the same issue so I downgraded to V4.001.0000007.1.R.210827 which worked.

My problem now is that I'm unable to downgrade back to to V4.001.0000007.1.R.210827 from V4.002.0000000.5.R.220729 which is annoying as I had hoped Dahua would have fixed to IVS issue.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem? Any suggestions on how to downgrade would be appreciated.

Hi Jackdaw

I was not able to downgrade but I did find out why my IVS was not working.

Basically, configuring the NVR IVS paramterer were correct and in fact had not changed due the firmware upgrade, so why wouldn't it work. It turns out that the NVR settings were different to the camera. I logged into the camera directly and found that the "record" checkbox was not ticked (no idea why/how it happened) Enabled recording and it all works fine. Somehow the settings on the NVR were not synched to the camera. Maybe someone with more experience could comment?

My only other grip with this firmware is that the tripwire on the main monitor no longer flashes red & blue when someone crosses it.

One of the reasons I recommend ALL settings be made on the camera not the NVR. Use the NVR to set network and record functions. Use the camera interface for ANYTHING that CAN be done on the camera. Synch issues will always crop up otherwise.

Yes that works, as do a lot of things much of the time. My point is it doesn’t ALWAYS synch settings made in the NVR. There are many posts over the years about it. I’ve just found that setting changes made on the camera interface tend to more reliably synch vs making them on the NVR.
And there are camera settings that simply arent available on the NVR on any given cam/NVR combination
