Does BI allow access to all IP cam features?

Hi all, im currently running mixed ip cams Four 4meg LTS and Two
IPC-HDW5231R-Z through an LTS NVR 8 Channel. im ready to expand... another Five IP cams, probably more
IPC-HDW5231R-Z and I may buy a Dahua NVR but wont mind building up a BI rig. does anyone know how well the software works for these types of mixed IP cams?
also any thoughts about it being worth taking this route cost and usability?

Cameras are configured in the camera not in BI. You use a browser to log into the camera, to change the cameras setting.

Not an NVR expert. As long as the NVR and cameras are the same manufacture they should operate well togeather. Do not mix equipment from the same manufacturer for different geographic regions. Some of cameras advanced features may not directly available in the nvr.
