Display images uploaded by ftp from camera on website

OK, in view of the poor way security is handled on trying to view the streams from a camera, I am looking at alternative methods.
I have setup my ftp site and the camera and am successfully sending images to a wordpress site.

What I need to figure out now is how to display that/those images to the webpage browser so that it looks like a time lapse kind of thing.

Was a wondering if anyone has done/is doing this kind of thing?

why not simply setup a vpn...now you can use a proper mobile app to view live and recorded video.

The aim is to allow clients to view their cats that are staying at the cattery over a video feed OR some kind of time lapse onto the actual website of the cattery, I am trying to not have the clients 'access' the units direct for the obvious security reasons :) and although the vpn will be in place for the owner to manage the NVR units, I am trying to output the feed to their website in a secure manner, but so far I am unable to hide the url and info on the website.

I am currently experimenting with live feeds to youtube, but I need to now figure out the bandwidth issues and other potential security concerns.

I was after being able to update their website with a picture from the camera via ftp, hence the request. @BobW55 I will have a look at that, cheers
 
Well there are tons of streaming plugins. Haven't tried this one but looks interesting. I'd try it on a local xxamp/wamp or dev site before going live on the production server. Live Streaming / Broadcast Live Video

Got to be a plugin for that. Maybe ask on a WP forum.
 
The site is on Adobe Business Catalyst !! I am happy in WP or Joomla, the Adobe methods are as usual ADOBE and there will be no plugins, this is another one of the problems of coming to this late in the game, add that to poor smart wiring, faulty cables and ports, Australian Internet speeds and quota, basically a load of shite trying to hinder the accomplishment of what should be a simple task. More than half of the task is trying to keep any solution secure for both the Cattery and any clients that use it.

Like the other day, he has been 'told' by experts that Google will start to block his site and put warnings on people's browsers that his site is not secure and then it will be blocked unless he gets it certified by google !! I then point out that all he needs to do is install an SSL certificate and he will be fine. Then the person developing his new website needs to know FULLY how both the front end system and back end system of his security cameras work in order to be able to hide a url on a webpage !!!!!!
 
That sounds tough. Maybe another cms you put on a sub domain or tell him he needs a cattery blog to drive business and WP is the way to go.

Non tech clients who believe their "experts" are very difficult to deal with. They have to unlearn what little they know and you must build trust. Good luck!
 
A little too much $$ invested in the current systems, I need to figure out the lifespan and then help them plan to move to better/cheaper solutions... step by step
