I have been searching for an IP cam that has WiFi that is disguised such as an alarm clock. I have been unsuccessful in finding any types of IP cameras that are incognito. Any recommendations? All the spy/hidden cams I've found have internal SD cards and cannot connect to my home network.

I can pretty confidently say even if you find one it will be crap. I see a lot of cameras on Amazon that are cheap, e.g. "nanny spy cams", but I doubt most are worth even unboxing. If it absolutely must, has to look like an alarm clock I think you should buy an alarm clock and rip everything out of it (granted, the lights won't be working--hopefully a non-working alarm clock is acceptable...?) then place one of the $200 pinhole cameras in it. They can write to SD but also your network. Alternatively if it doesn't have to look like an alarm clock I think there are tons of ways you could hide something like the hikvision cube camera within a cavity of something else, or behind a houseplant or anything else. A couple of dark-bound, thick hardcover books could be hollowed out and a lens can be within the spine and you'd only see it if looking closely for it.

I found something that might be of use to you depending on what you need it for. It does not look like it could be the greatest quality, but at under $30 it does come at a price worth risking i guess. It is not wireless, but you might be able to work around that with a bit of ingenuity.

It's the closest thing I have come across to what you described, and even though it might be a sub-quality product, I was actually curious enough about it's ability that I put in an order for one. Simply to see what kind of value can be had for the ridiculously disposable cost.

Yeah even just to tinker around for an evening that thing is pretty cheap. I am subscribed to this thread and would like to hear how it works out for you.

No problem LittleBrother. I will do a little write up once it arrives, just for those who are interested.

Thanks for suggesting this cam. I will purchase it as well and test it out. Even though it's not WiFi, I can get it to work with a Powerline adapter found on Amazon

I just received an order from them yesterday, which I ordered just before the cam. So I'm expecting the cam any day now. What I did like about ordering from buyincoins, was that they take a photo of the package before sending it. They are also a power seller on ebay, so I am hoping the negative buying experiences some people have had are not the general case. Hoping.

Let us know once you get the cam... I will buy one based on your review but won't hold it against you :)

No problem! I've been all over the mailman for the past couple of days :D

They also have this same camera at Aliexpress for a few more bucks. I prefer using them as I've had better luck. Looks like a great camera for the price.
