Disable onboard IR for Dahua Starlight cam

I've installed some Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-Z cameras around my house. I'm trying to use an external IR illuminator in place of the onboard IR to get better illumination over a large deck. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to disable the camera's IR while leaving the camera in IR-sensitive mode at night. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Log onto the camera, go to setup/conditions/ir light/mode.

Also, unless you've gone out of your want to configure your camera to switch profiles at certain times, your camera profile will remain in "Normal" mode 24x7, so you'll want to make the change @tigerwillow1 suggested there.
