Hi All,

This article from DW got me thinking. I have a momentum camera in my garage which also allows me to open/close the garage door. Based off of this article it would seem that i can add a "Button" on the camera in DW and have it control my garage door. The problem is I don't really know where to start. How would i know the HTTP request to link that it sends to open and close the door?

Is that camera cloud-based and you use an app to close the garage door?

Regarding the HTTP URL to be executed by DW to illicit a relay closure by the cam to control the door, I suspect you'd have to get that info from Momentum, if you can't find via Google.

EDIT: If the above bears no fruit, consider using a $24, UL-listed Shelly 2.5 Wi-Fi switch to open and close the door. DW would send the HTTP URL via Wi-Fi to the Shelly and open and/or close the garage door. User Guide and Wiring Diagrams can be found here. The Shelly 2.5 API docs here.

I used the less-featured Shelly1 earlier this year for I/O with Blue Iris VMS and the URL commands are similar.

I wrote a How-to here ==>> Simple Blue Iris I/O using Shelly1 Wi-Fi Devices
