Did a factory reset on my HiLook NVR-216
Set up the system with my own password and added this as the camera password also.

Now I can’t see any cameras on live view and my NVR comes up 0.0.0.0 ( see picture )

please help with a solution

Thanks for your reply
If I look on the NVR itself it has an ip address.
I can also log in to the NVR at the address of 192.168.1.168
I’ve tried both static and DHCP.

All of your cameras are on a different subnet to the NVR.
They're all on 192.168.254.x

Where do they get their address from?

Are they plugged into the NVR (POE Ports) or the local network?
If they're plugged into the NVR (POE ports) they should pick up an IP address from the NVR and then the NVR should see them.

If they're plugged into your local lan they should pick up an IP address the same way your NVR did and be on 192.168.1.x.
Or you can change their IP addresses to be on that subnet using the SADP tool.

Normally the cameras would pick up their IP addresses from the NVR in that case.

When you say the below is this a different camera password to what it used to be previously?
If so, you will likely need to update the password on all of the cameras for the NVR to be able to talk to them.
Set up the system with my own password and added this as the camera password also.

I inherited the system at a business I purchased so have no original passwords.

I was having an issue where I was getting an error on my Hik-Connect app saying something like “too many streams” so couldn’t view live view.

Due to the system not being set up by me I decided to do a factory reset - this is when the fun started. Since then I can’t view the cameras at all and it seems like it’s an authentication issue, I have tried setting the password the same as device on each camera.

Do I need to push the reset button on each camera (there is 14) and then set the password for each? Seems like a laborious task.
