Dear Alexis, sorry for my late reply but I have been researching more before I talk to you again.

Understand my situation please....

I have a Dahua NVR5216-16P-4KS2. I think it is based on a Linux-3.10.0_hi3536 (Hilsilicon)

I have tried a lot of methods for TFTP upgrade but I am doing something wrong. Either I do not have the correct IPs for the TFTP serevr or I do not have the right TFTP/NVR upgrade files.

Please find attached a photo of what Putty gives me when connecting with a console cable.

Thanks a lot Alexis for your help

Ok on your tftp server did you see the connection from the nvr ?
Nooo :(

If I fix that part I think we can fix my issue,

I am using Cisco TFTP and I tried using Hikivsion TFTP server too. I can see putty response with NVR but TFTP server I am not sure how it works :(

My NVR had a static IP address before the upgrade corrupted, does the NVR have default IP now ?

You must be connected to nvr with serial câble. 115200 8/N/1.
Keep key * puch untel you have thé prompt with #
So you will be able to pass comand for exemple help and enter.

Try pléase and let you know

So you're suggesting to connect to NVR via RS232 (COM) PORT on the and use putty to send command right?
I need to find the COM Cable and Computer with COM Port

If you do not have a computer with a COM port you can use a USB to serial cable.

It worked with my laptop via USB and NVR

It has to be the exact type which I attached in this message :)

Can always help :)
