hello guys I just bought a DH-TPC-DF1241 thermal camera
its making a clicking noise every couple of minutes, i think it might ICR but not sure. Is that how its supposed to be ?
I tried searching for firmware update but there is nothing at all
my current firmware is
V2.630.0000000.0.R, Build Date: 2020-05-29
WEB VersionV3.2.1.900141
ONVIF Version19.06(V2.6.1.845389)
ThermalCamera Version20200417
Security Baseline VersionV2.0

any tips about the firmware ? all i can find currently is for S2
is it supposed to be making this sound every five minutes ?

Edit: I downloaded the firmware from here and it worked fine, not sure it made any difference or not yet

What is the camera "looking" at?

It could be the IR filter switching back and forth based on available light in the field of view.

Post a video from the camera of the field of view when it happens so we can see what is the likely cause.

well there is nothing moving, its just pointing to the ceiling, i tried to change the image to day only instead of auto, the clicking frequency decreased considerably, but its still there for sure.
here is the video

That field of view could do it, although I didnt see it switch to B/W, but that all white and ceiling lights could certainly cause it.

What is the thermal doing? The other thing that could be happening is the thermal is closing the shutter for x minutes due to the heat from the lights and that is the clicking you hear

here is a video at the moment the clicking sound appear for both channels, i moved it away from the source of light, its now pointing to a wall

The click on thermal cameras is from a shutter closing, then re-calibrating the thermal sensor. This is normal.
There is an option to change calibration interval.
You can also manually force this in thermal camera settings. Look for "Do FFC".
