Good evening. Tonight I made an attempt to update the firmware from 2.622, but failed. I downloaded the firmware bin file and made the attempt through the camera web interface. About a third of the way through, the process stopped and the camera started a boot loop. I unziped the firmware and made the attempt through a TFTP Server. The process works, then fails with the following message:

partition file version 2
rootfstype squashfs root /dev/mtdblock8
fail to load bootargsParameters.txt
fail to load bootargsParameters.txt file
get bootargs info failed
cmdLine console=ttyS0,115200 mem=150M root=/dev/mtdblock8 rootfstype=squashfs init=/linuxrc

This is the server messages up until the process fails:

Client 192.168.1.108:3093 root\upgrade_info_7db780a713a4.txt, 1 Blocks Served
Client 192.168.1.108:3224 root\romfs-x.squashfs.img, 973 Blocks Served
Client 192.168.1.108:2562 root\kernel.img, 1178 Blocks Served
Client 192.168.1.108:3127 root\user-x.squashfs.img, 13308 Blocks Served
Client 192.168.1.108:2795 root\web-x.squashfs.img, 3953 Blocks Served
Client 192.168.1.108:2367 root\failed.txt, File not found or No Access

Does anyone have any ideas what I'm missing in the process?

Thanks

I'm in a similar boat with a IPC-HFW5231E-Z5E.

This FW works on my SD1A203T-GN
V2.800.0000000.4.R.R4.383, Build Date: 2019-11-05

Have you tried the older firmware too?

I tried this version, may have the wrong one: DH_SD-Mao-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_IVS_V2.800.0000000.4.R.191105

Do you have a link to your working firmware?

Thanks

Thanks, post #68 is the link I used to download the firmware. I'm getting a failed to update bootargs "dp" not defined cmd failed to run dp. Not sure what I have wrong at the moment.

Thanks again.

Andy's dropbox link is 404, looks like the same fw is in the thread.
I see someone else had problems in that thread.

I would remove dp from your command.txt, and run the command batch again. then run again
Also I remember doing an un-brick that delivered some errors. But when I rebooted it worked.

I removed dp from my command.txt and have recovered the camera, thanks! Thought I had tried removing dp, but evidently I hadn't and appreciate the suggestion.

Did I read correctly V2.800.0000000.4.R.R4.383, Build Date: 2019-11-05 didn't require a plugin to view the video feed? Using Explorer, I'm being prompted to download the webplugin.

Thanks again for the help!

You don't need the plugin.
Glad you got it working ;-)

Thanks. For some reason IE downloads a plugin, but it's downloading a plugin for each of the six cameras I have installed with the newer firmware. Other browsers, no plugins are downloaded.

Appreciate the help tonight!
