What do you think? If there was only a section in the damn software to set storage limits!!So it will start deleting files when it gets down to... what?
You can test it yourself. The bottom line is it makes absolutely zero difference.Seems a bit vague. So we don't really know how it works?
the machine will blow up. seriously leave some extra space and stop obsessing over it.I'm going to allow 4GB free for each camera plus one extra 4GB. So what happens if I'm wrong?
Windows backup is not dumb. It is in fact off by default, so perhaps its an issue with the user.Apparently my db was off by quite a bit. And I think the dumb Windows Backup was enabled and used up some space.
Windows backup is not dumb.
That may been a bug in that particular update. Still works fine.I had to restore from an automated Windows image backup once, only to find out they'd deprecated the feature with some win10 update and broken the image restore procedure and no workarounds existed. Windows backup is dumb.
i think you are misunderstanding the settings...user error. The sparsest setting is daily and keep for a month -- or 30 copies. That is dumb.
