Dahuas from China

Hi all,

I've mentioned in another post that I'm looking for some 4K cameras. I'm wondering if Dahua cameras have different firmware versions like Hikvision, i.e. Multi-language and English?

Do I need to be careful, as with Hikvision, what version of camera I buy or are Dahuas 'easier' to convert to English (upgradable) firmware?

My 4 megapixel dahua cameras I bought from aliexpress are definitely chinese region and won't take any firmware file I can find (though fortunately they just refused to update, and don't brick themselves). I don't know anything about converting them to a different region, if that is even possible. The model number is actually slightly different. At least they have an English interface.

Just buy ones from a seller that specifically states on the listing "English Firmware".
