Dahua Wizmind Series X 12mp vs 8mp

Which camera would get the better image quality?
12MP has a 1/1.7" sensor and 8MP has a 1/1.8" and both max out at 16k kbps bitrate, which probably will not be feasible when any AI feature is activated, maybe like 8k-12k kbps would be doable. Conditions would mostly be indoor white lights with a strong background light from outdoors (Entry camera).
Both cost about the same so price is not an issue.

I bought the 12MP version and I have to say that the night time image is not what I expected. So, maybe the 8MP version??? Here is my thread on the subject with pictures.

I have always noticed that HiK cameras seem to be sharper than Dahua cameras. Although i dont know if they were same sensor sizes and focal lengths. (Random videos in internet)

I mainly bought the Series X for the AI features but still wanted to make sure i made the right choice.

Did you manage to improve the image sharpness tinkering with image settings?

Let me just say that I have got the image sharpness the best it will be. I will be tinkering with the night time settings next week. I need to give it a rest and mount my new LP camera. I bought mine for what I thought would be a superior image quality. I did not buy it for the AI features.
