I made a lot of reading/research inside this awesome forum to learn as much as I can.
My kit is from Spain, it has a customized firmware version from our national official distributor: "v3.200.0000.0.R" It seems to have a serious bug: Each time that VTO is disconnected from D/C it "breaks" the link, i mean, now VTH is not able to connect again with VTO (but P2P is still working perfectly) To fix it, i have to hard reset the VTO (10 clicks to the button behind the VTO till it "bips") (the bug, affects only to the relatime image from VTO, it shows somewhat error2.)

So, I definitely want to try a firmare update, hoping it fix this bug.
But I still don't know how to upgrade firmware, I didnt see any video/tutorial to do it, and I'm really afraid to brick my VTO/VTH.

I really would thanks ANYONE that help me to achieve success in upgrading.

Are those files ok for my IPkit?
VTH1550CH: 750311_General_VTH151X_Eng_SIP_V4.300.0000000.5.R.20181024.zip
VTO2000A: 750315_General_VTOXXX_Eng_P_16M_SIP_V4.000.0000000.5.R.20181030.zip

And, whats the order to flash? And what software, what files first...? I'm an ocean of doubts....sorry!

Thanks a lot, @riogrande75 I will try it this weekend :)
If all goes fine, I would love to make some tricks (if possible) decompile firmware to replace sound files, anyone tried it?

@gatovaca17 Forget this!
You can still unpack the fw files and change the sound files in it, but bc the fw is signed, it will end up in a boot loop on the device.
If you really want this (just like me :p) you have to use very old fw <2018.

Pls.see this tread for more info.

Uhm, I see... dahua is very jealous of their software lol.
Yesterday I updated the VTH, now it seems doesn't need to be input any config, I hope that I dont get more issues with every blackout.
It's weird, newer firmware, but interface looks older lol

made around....15.
With each blackout, vth lost link with vto, and the only way to recover the link was a full hard reset. and then reconfig all.
BTW, to connect the electric lock plate, do I need external 12v power, or may I use the 12v port behind the VTO?

Well, that depends on your electric lock and has nothing to do with the VTO.
Check it's datasheet.

Lock plate is really old, imho I think 1,5A should be enough, maybe cable colors are wrong and became to inverted polarity. Tomorrow i will try to revert it to test.
