Dahua T/B5442 stuck in black and white mode even when it is bright enough

Does anyone else seen an issue where 5442 cameras get stuck in night mode even when it is pretty bright for them to go to color day mode.
I do suspect it is some firmware/setting issue since i do have 2 same model (IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E) cams mounted 1 foot apart with almost identical settings but different firmware versions , pointing to the same road but in different directions.
Yet 1 cam switches to color 1-2 hours before the other.
Another data point is IPC-HDW5442TM-AS-LED sitting in the room with pretty good amount of light coming from the window yet it is still blasting the LED lights. While IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E next to it switches to color mode no problem .

Any ideas?

U go into web GUI and look at conditions them profile management? Set to day/night
 
Yes Condition is set to switch between day/night and as far as i can tell it is on day mode, yet the led lights are on. But the the illuminator setting is on auto for all modes (general, day and night.)

Not really. I just let it do whatever it wants, when it is bright enough it is switching LED off.
Since I use it in color mode at night, it doesn't really affect functionality. But it is annoying
