Is it possible to log into just camera on a laptop without internet connection ?
 
If the laptop and camera are on the same LAN and it's a real camera, not a cloud based toy.
 
The camera is a Dahua IPC-HDW4231EM-ASE.
I have set the camera up to record in a building SD card only.
I would like to take a laptop to the building hook up camera to ethernet port on the pc and view SD card without having to remove it.
 
Sure, that will work, too, as long as you know the IP address of the camera and the laptop can accommodate that address. Hint, a second IP address can be added to a Windoohs machine through Control Panel, Network and Internet, Network status and tasks, Change adapter settings, right click on the appropriate network adapter, select properties, select advanced, select IPv4, select properties, select advanced, add the appropriate network address such as 192.168.1.100 or anything else as long as it's not 192.168.1.108. If your laptop is already on 192.168.1.xx you're already set to go.
