setting up a Dahua SD59225U-HNI Camera to a Hikvision DS-7716NI-SP/16 what protocol to use or anything else I need to know on configuring this ?

Port should be the Http port (default 80) and not the 37777 port

Yep I try that when I click on the camera status it said The network is unreachable

your probably going to have to setup the network settings and everything manually on the PTZ before you can add it to the NVR.

it service skills? I'm asking what config software to use the PSS that came with after I add it said it's lock this is a great camera
but the Doc's that came with it suck there web site sucks also

Internet Explorer directly to the WebUI? Dont expect docs from manufacturers along the lines of: Getting our competitors hardware playing nice with ours.. have u never set a camera up manually to join a network before? It'll have a default IP and login, open it w/your browser and set up the network settings for whatever the NVR needs.

seems your IT skills leave something to be desired if you cant figure this out from what you have available to you.

I under subnets what I'm saying is the computer with the config software is on one subnet and the NVR is on another
But the NVR won't assign a address to the camera

If you mean understand; no.. you dont, or you'd of set the correct subnet mask and already have this working w/out asking for help.

with Hikvision camera I can run SADP tool and it will see the all the cameras on the NVR and I can change the IP address to match the NVR
and they work fine

in the screen shot you're connected to a camera at 192.168.1.54 and you're trying to change it to an IP in different subnet 192.168.254.5 at which point you'd loose the ability to configure at all unless you change your computer's ip to match.
