Found one search on the forum from a couple of years ago, but it wasn't the same port.

Didn't find anything on the internet

So, why is the camera trying to get to amazonaws on port 8800 ?

I have everything turned off ie. DDNS, Upnp, bonjour, etc.

No ports forwarded in router?
Block the cam completely in your fire wall from contacting the net.

That's from my block log.

I have all the cameras in a group and block that group with logging.

Was just wondering WHY it was going to AmazonAWS.

IIRC, there’s another thread about this where a bunch of folks were comparing logs and notes. Might be worth doing a forum search for it.
