Dahua NVR- downloaded video issue... file shows 1kb after download

Looking for some guidance on my Dahua NVR, I am trying to download a video as a .mp4 and end up getting an error when trying to playback that download. The file sizes are showing 1kb and the file should be 14080KB and 171136KB, neither will play.

I go into the Playback page, download by file, change bit stream type to Main Stream, check the box of the file I want to download, save to a folder on my PC and the two downloads took a fair amount of time to complete (several minutes).

Am I doing something wrong on the download side? Pic attached showing error.

What happens if you try to download the clips with SmartPSS? I do see that you got 2 mp4 and 1 dav file.

I downloaded SmartPSS and have been playing with it, I was able to clip videos from playback, so that will work for my needs. Thanks for the help.

And in case you would be looking for it: you have these "cissors" at bottom left hand, with those you can "create" your own clips for download (as .avi/mp4/.. )
