Dahua IPC-HFW4305D Ftp address don't accept URL only numeric address

I am are very demoralized, nobopdy helps me to solve my problem.
My ftp does not have a public address and use the DDNS service.
Using the http interface I can save the url address in the memory
of the camera, but it doesn't work, with numeric address it works properly.
I have tried using google dns 8.8.8.8 but it's the same.
I have posted many times my problem on Dahua service, but nobody
reply me.
So if no answer, I suggest everybody don't buy this camera for this purpose.

yeah someone else ran into this, seems all Dahua cameras have this problem.. why are you FTPing to a remote server? I FTP to a local server and it works perfectly.
 
The location of the camera is in a place without energy, it takes power from a car battery so not enough to keep an Ftp. :-(
 
One more question.
My camera is wired to a 3G Mobile Wireless Router Asus WL-3300N3G.
Is there a pobbility to configure the Ftp address on the camera as local for example 192.168.1.55 and the tell to the router to forward this address to my ddns ftp for example pippo.ddns.net ?

DNS is not used at all in routing, so no you cannot.

If your trying to remote FTP over a 3G connection its going to suck hard and cost a fortune in data for a silly low resolution video.. no chance in hell your getting that camera to upload full quality over 3G.

The FTP storage feature was never intended to be used for offsite storage, it is also not robust enough to deal with a high latency, low bandwidth wireless uplink.. You should have got a camera with a SD card slot at least for local storage.
 
You can setup a VPN tunnel between your sites and it might work, that would be better because FTP provides no encryption.

See if you can install DD-WRT or OpenWRT or Tomato or something on your Asus router and it might be able to bridge into your home LAN.

...I gave up to FTP, only email...
now I have to define the alarm area , i have ubuntu laptop but the webplugin for linux (webplugin.tar.bz2) is missing, so I cannot use
the browser, something for my mobile with Android kit kat !!!!!
