i'm trying to use a dahua hdw5231r-z camera with a hikvision ds-7716ni-i4/16 p nvr but i'm having trouble
the cameras are not connected to the nvr's poe.. the dahua is powered by a trendnet poe injector and connected to the network thru a tplink gigabit switch.. there are a total of 6 cameras in the system 4 hikvisions and 2 dahuas .
i'm able to add the camera to the nvr via onvif... but on the configuration/video setting in the nvr, for the dahua camera, it only sees 720p resolution and there is no substream (i get a message saying the camera does not support the function)...
dahua camera setting
main stream
h.265
1080p resolution
fps 15
bitrate 4096
substream
h.265
resolution d1
fps 15
bitrate 1024
on the nvr side
main stream
it only shows 1280x720p resolution
25 fps
h.265
substream
- i get an error - The camera does not support the function
the video seems to be working but it's slow at times.. audio is pretty bad.. i had to set the dahua camera audio to 8k sampling..
some other info - firmware on the hikvision nvr is 3.4.92, dahua starlight firmware is 2.460
is the dahua starlight camera incompatible with the hikvision nvr? the other dahua camera is a 3mp, h.264, i think it's a 4300c..that one works fine..
