Dahua hdw4431c-a lens replacement

Hi guys!

Did anyone tried to replace lens on this camera? It looks like it glued with lens holder with some compound or resin.

Any thoughts how to unglue it?

I don't have that cam model. But I did have to remove a lens assembly on a Dahua. Screws were locked down with a dab of epoxy. If memory serves, there was epoxy on the lens lock down screw. For focusing, they rotate the lens in and out. Then lock the adjusting screw, so the lens doesn't rotate (and lose focus)

I chipped away at the epoxy with an x-acto blade, and was finally able to unscrew the lens assy screws. painstaking. small screws, fragile. but can be done w/ patience.

Don't cut yourself or damage the cam!
