Hey all,

All of a sudden a camera that has worked flawlessly ( IPC HFW5302c) and a newly configured one (IPC HFW5502c) are displaying DNS errors while attempting to open the DAHUA web interface for the camera.

When the cameras open in the web config page the image is missing though all settings are accessible.

I reset my router with a config file that is perfect as well as reset the cameras too, same problem.

One thing that is diff with these two cameras is that under Network settings preferred DNS and Alternate DNS don't populate with the standard 192.168.1.1/ 0.0.0.0

In fact it won't let me enter 4 zeros at all even though all the other cameras have it.

I might mention too these are all wired cameras in static mode.

Any help appreciated as I have attached 2 photos

Try turning off Easy4IP if you aren't using it.

I might add LAN IP opens up with no error, but Wan IP has the error.

However when I go to a PC on another network the WAN address opens perfectly with no DNS error from webpage.

Forwarding ports to allow WAN access to the camera isn't very secure.
