I purchased this camera at Amazon a few weeks ago and bricked it trying to update the firmware. I've been unable to recover via a serial method after much help from forum members. Beginning to think there might be something about the camera itself such that older methods of recovery no longer works? I know I'm reaching just asking. Anyway, the camera bricked after a reboot routine following uploading firmware. I cannot ping the camera and the led status light on the circuirt board is dead.
My main point in this thread is that it appears i'm the only member who has this camera or at least posting anything about it. If anyone has it, just wondering what your experience with it has been. I was unable to add it to my Hikvision 8 port NVR. The merchant has agreed to replace with with another one and I will not be attempting firmware updates on the replacement. I am continuing trying to access the camera via a serial interface for the experience as I await RMA information.
