Is there any hardware documentation for the alarm wires coming out of the cameras? For the NVR it's in the NVR manual, but I'll be darned if I can find it anywhere in the camera manual. For the alarm out the wires are labeled 'alarm out' and 'alarm out gnd'. For the alarm input it's 'alarm in' and 'alarm in gnd'. This begs a bunch of questions, like is the alarm out just a relay contact or does it assert an output voltage? What are its current and voltage limits? If relay contact, is it NO or NC? For alarm in, is it asserted by connecting to alarm in gnd, or does it need a voltage level? Are the two 'gnd' wires tied to each other? Do they have anything to do with a ground at all? If this info is in the manual somewhere, please point me to it and I'll eat some crow.
