I recently added 2 Dahua cameras to my BI software, I now have 8 cameras. Before I was running 6 and only was running 30-50% cpu now BI is showing high 90's% cpu. Is it a PC problem or a setting I can change? All cameras are set to "direct to disc".

4 GW- (2592x1920) 5MP 1920p @ 15 FPS; 3MP 1536p @ 30 FPS; 2MP 1080p @ 30 FPS
2 SHARX- 1920x1080 30FPS
And then the two Dahua.

Under BI in camera properties/video/image format this is what I'm showing
1920x1080 30 fps (sharx)
1920 x 1080 27fps (dahua)
1920 x 1080 26fps (sharx)
2592 x 1944 18fps (gw)
2560 x 1440 42fps (dahua)
1280 x 960 26 fps (gw)
1280 x 960 31 fps (gw)
1920 x 1080 32 fps (gw)

Read the wiki at the top of the page.
You don't need more than 15fps.
This would be set in the camera.

Does changing the fps in just BI help?

What camera model is it? Some of the consumer ones don't have a direct web interface. If you can't edit the camera directly you can try a utility like Dahua SmartPSS to make the necessary adjustments.

Changing the fps in BI won't help - BI just gets whatever is being fed by the camera's main stream.

I lowerEd the fps on the 2 sharx and the 2 dahua and the cpu is still at 86-95% in BI. I'm not sure the exact model numbers of the GW cameras, a tech/camera guy installed them (he crashed and died a year ago so no going to him).
